35th Annual Spring Art Show and Sale

Artists 18 years old and older may enter two 2-D original works ONLY (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, graphite, pen & ink, or mixed media) completed within the last 2 years and not previously displayed in WAA Shows. 

3-D Art will not be accepted.

Photographs, crafts, airbrush works, computer generated images and works executed in a class or workshop are not eligible.

Maximum size cannot exceed 40” in either width or height.

Art works must have quality framing or gallery wrap, a depth of 1 1/4 “or greater and sides painted.

Plexiglas (no glass) must be used on all work on paper of 30” including frame.

Entries must be ready for hanging with wire.  (See hanging diagram for information)

Wires must not be frayed, ends wrapped in tape, and must support the weight of the painting.

No saw tooth hangers are allowed.

Works must be professionally presented and deemed appropriate by WAA

We need your help to make this show the best it can be.   

We are seeking volunteers for the following:

• Artwork check in and check out
• Hang and take down artwork
• Welcome Table and assist attendees with transactions
• Award Reception Refreshments

This annual event draws over 500 guests each year, features over 60 local artists, and over 125 pieces of art.  This is a judged show with cash prizes.  The awards are made possible through the generous support of many local sponsors, such as yourself.  By being a sponsor your company will be seen as supporter of fine art by local artists.

Our mission is to encourage artistic awareness and the enjoyment of fine arts and to stimulate growth both on individual and community levels. We fulfill our mission with art exhibits and shows, workshops, demonstrations, indoor and outdoor painting sessions, as well as trips to regional art venues. By providing channels for networking and communication, our members experience a creative environment for learning, sharing and building friendships. Your financial sponsorship of our Art Show will help us further our mission.  Waterway Art Association is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
