The Oak Island Recreation Center will be hosting its first-ever Spring Art Show.
If you are an artist and would like to enter, you must register online at OakIslandNC.gov/PROGRAMS and submit your art work via e-mail to Emily Kincer at ekincer@oakislandnc.gov. Each artist can submit up to 5 pieces to be chosen for the Spring Art Show. The Recreation Department will be accepting 2D and 3D art work. You must have your entries submitted by March 3, 2024. "Boundaries”
Boundaries - a juried show at
Sunset River Gallery, Calabash NC
Where does one thing end and another begin?
This show invites artists to explore the limits, edges, and intersections that define our lives, identities, and perceptions.
Some of the many themes to explore:
Personal boundaries: explore vulnerability, intimacy, or the spaces we create to protect ourselves.
Physical boundaries: borders, territories, and migration, and the impact of those on our lives
Societal Boundaries: race, gender, class, or cultural divides, highlighting inclusion or exclusion
Conceptual Boundaries: abstract works pushing the boundaries of form, medium, or viewer interpretation
We are looking for work that inspires conversations on how boundaries are drawn, crossed, or erased, offering a space for reflection and dialogue.
This is a show for 2D art.
Sunset River Gallery, located in Calabash NC, has been a staple of the local and regional art community for over 20 years. We are a 10,000 square foot gallery, representing around 100 artists and fine craftspeople.
Juried by Lynn Golitz of BluSail Golitz Studios in Morehead City, NC.
Lynn is an artist who has been the recipient of multiple high excellence awards in regional art shows. Her work has been seen in “Our State Magazine” as well as juried shows in galleries throughout North Carolina.

SEACOAST ARTISTS GUILD ANNUAL SPRING ART SHOW and SALE PROSPECTUS

The Seacoast Artists Guild Spring Art Show and Sale is open to all current Members of the Guild and to non-members as well.
The Registration Fee is:
$30.00 for Seacoast Artist Guild Members
$60.00 for Non-members (Includes Membership in the Seacoast Artists Guild through April 30, 2026)
Acceptable forms of Art include Painting, Drawing, Graphics, Photography, Mixed Media, Fiber, Textile, Sculpture, Wood Carving and Original Ceramics. All work that is the sole original creation of the artist, completed within the past two years and not previously entered into a Seacoast Artists Guild Art Show may be submitted. Work created in a class or workshop where the instructor has had a hand in the completion of the work is not eligible.

The Art League of Leland's It's ALL Art show and sale is an annual juried show open to all artists 18 years or older, both ALL members and regional area nonmembers.
We are excited to announce that Brenda Behr will be our official juror for the 2025 exhibition. Initially, a committee of peers will be selecting finalists to participate in the show. Our juror, Brenda Behr, will then select work for cash awards and ribbons in each category (2D, 3D, and Photography) for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, overall Best of Show, sponsor awards,
and Purchase awards.
Each artist may submit up to 3 (three) pieces of original artwork in any given category for consideration by the committee and juror.
No more than 2 (two) hanging pieces will be selected for any artist.
Sales will be handled by the ALL. A 20% commission fee will be retained by ALL on all sales. Taxes will be collected and paid by ALL.
· Artwork must be for sale.

The Southport Plein Air Festival, hosted by Up Your Arts and the City of Southport, is set to bring a vibrant celebration of creativity to downtown Southport from May 1st to May 3rd, 2025. Over 70 artists have already registered to paint en plein air, capturing the town’s scenic beauty on canvas.
Beginning Thursday, May 1st, visitors can watch artists set up their easels throughout Southport, transforming the city into an open-air gallery. The festival culminates in an exciting day of activities on Saturday, May 3rd, featuring live entertainment, art demonstrations, children’s activities, and the much-anticipated Wet Paint Sale.

8th Annual Art Show & Sale
Organized annually by Sunset Vision, the Art Show and Sale offers artists, patrons, and the public a chance to support and promote the arts in our community, and engage with the many talented artists in our area.
The show will feature artwork from some of the most talented artists from NC to SC and places in between in virtually every medium!
- We are a non-juried show. That means we accept artists at every stage of the artistic journey. From beginner to seasoned pro, we offer an inclusive opportunity for everyone to showcase their talent.
- Tiny art exhibit. Many of our participating artists create mini masterpieces on tiny canvases (that we provide) and sell for $25 each. You can even have your tiny art framed onsite during exhibit hours. All of the proceeds support Sunset Vision.
- Online gallery. Many of our artists participate in the online gallery that launches the first week of August ahead of the show. This provides our artists with additional exposure and gives patrons a sneak peek at some of the art available for purchase.
